2006 New York Code - Christmas Trees.



 
    §  27-4251.1  Christmas trees. All retail merchants of live or natural
  Christmas trees shall be required to attach to live or natural Christmas
  trees, before sale to the public, printed matter containing  appropriate
  instructions  for  the  safe use and disposal of said trees. The printed
  matter shall be compiled and  approved  by  the  commissioner  and  made
  readily  available  to  any merchant who shall vend such live or natural
  trees prior to the start of the Christmas season. Any person  who  shall
  violate  or neglect to comply with any of the provisions of this section
  shall be punished by a fine of not less  than  twenty-five  dollars  nor
  more than one hundred dollars for each violation thereof.
