2006 New York Code - Blow-pipes.



 
    § 27-4102 Blow-pipes. a. Certificate of approval. It shall be unlawful
  to  use  a  combustible  gas  alone  or  in  combination with oxygen for
  heating, melting or welding, except in or through a blow-pipe  or  other
  similar  device  or  apparatus,  of  a  type  for which a certificate of
  approval shall have been issued.
    b. Certificate of fitness. It shall be unlawful to operate a blow-pipe
  or other similar device or apparatus for heating,  melting  or  welding,
  without a certificate of fitness.
    c.  Permit.  It  shall be unlawful to use oxygen in combination with a
  combustible gas, in or through a blow-pipe or other similar device,  for
  heating, melting or welding, without a permit.
    d.  Portable  generators.  It  shall  be  unlawful  to  use a portable
  generator in any building,  for  the  purpose  of  supplying  gas  to  a
  blow-pipe   or  other  similar  device  or  apparatus,  except  where  a
  certificate of approval for the generator has been  issued,  and,  then,
  only when a special permit has been issued for its use.
