§ 27-171 Requirement of photographs. (a) Except as otherwise provided herein, all applications for permits for the demolition or removal of existing buildings shall be accompanied by two sets of photographs of the building or buildings to be demolished or removed. Both sets of photographs shall be received by the department on behalf of the landmarks preservation commission and the municipal archives division of the department of records and information services. (b) The commissioner, upon the advice of the commissioner of the department of records and information services and the chairperson of the landmarks preservation commission, shall promulgate such rules and shall prescribe such specifications as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this section. (c) Where photographs are otherwise required to be submitted to the landmarks preservation commission, applications for demolition or removal permits submitted on behalf of the department of housing preservation and development, shall be exempt from the requirements of this section. (d) Permits authorized pursuant to section 26-243 of the administrative code, shall be exempt from the requirements of this section.
