2006 New York Code - Violations And Penalties.



 
    § 26-140 Violations and penalties. Any person who shall violate any of
  the  provisions  of this subchapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
  upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a  fine  not  to  exceed
  five  hundred dollars, or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed six
  months, or both. Such person shall also be subject to the payment  of  a
  penalty of not more than two hundred fifty dollars, to be recovered in a
  civil  action  brought in the name of the city in any court of record in
  the city.
