§ 26-112 Falsely impersonating an officer. Any person who falsely represents himself or herself as an officer, inspector or employee of the department or of a not-for-profit corporation performing services on behalf of the department pursuant to article twenty-seven of subchapter one of chapter one of title twenty-seven of the code, or as acting under the authority of the department or of such not-for-profit corporation, or who without authority uses, wears or displays any shield or other insignia or emblem such as is worn by such officer, inspector or employee, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
