2006 New York Code - Sinking Ships; Placing At Wharf Property Prohibited.
§ 22-108 Sinking ships; placing at wharf property prohibited. It shall be unlawful to place any vessel, craft or structure which is sinking or is in such condition that there is danger of it sinking or stranding, at any wharf property. Violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars and not less than ten dollars, or by imprisonment for not more than six months and not less than ten days, or by both, on complaint of the commissioner. One-half of any such fine shall be paid to the person or persons giving information which shall lead to the conviction of any person violating this section.
