2006 New York Code - Homeless Services Advisory Board.
§ 21-306 Homeless services advisory board. There shall be an advisory board to advise the commissioner on the provision of transitional housing and services for eligible homeless persons. This advisory board shall consist of eleven members to be appointed for two-year terms as follows: five members appointed by the speaker of the city council and six, including the chairperson of the advisory board, by the mayor. The members of the advisory board shall include one or more members who are or were, within the immediate past twenty-four months, homeless. The members of the advisory board shall serve without compensation.
