2006 New York Code - Transfer Of Certain Employees To Board Of Education.

 
    §  13-185  Transfer  of  certain  employees  to  board  of  education.
  Notwithstanding other provisions  of  this  code,  any  employee  having
  completed  continuous  city-service in excess of thirty years and having
  transferred as a civil employee  and  or  as  a  regular  teacher  after
  September  first,  nineteen hundred sixty to the board of education, the
  retirement system of which is supported by  funds  appropriated  by  the
  city of New York, may continue membership in the New York city employees
  retirement  system,  and shall be permitted to contribute to such system
  and receive credit for service rendered to the board of education as  if
  such service were city-service.
