2006 New York Code - Purchase Of Credit For Past Teaching Service In The City University Of New York.



 
    §  13-110  Purchase  of  credit  for past teaching service in the city
  university of New York. In the  same  manner  as  hereinbefore  provided
  under  section  13-108  of this chapter for the purchase of city-service
  preceding membership, on  or  before  January  first,  nineteen  hundred
  sixty-five,  or within one year after first beginning membership, credit
  may be purchased for teaching service in the city university of New York
  preceding membership and if the teaching service was on an hourly basis,
  credit of one year of city service  for  retirement  purposes  shall  be
  allowed  for  a minimum of thirty weeks per year with an average service
  of fifteen hours of teaching per week  (four  hundred  fifty  hours  per
  year),  provided that no such member shall receive more than one year of
  credit for service rendered during one calendar year.
