    § 120-s. Joint meeting for acquisition and operation of property.  The
  joint  meeting  representing  any two or more of such municipalities, as
  aforesaid, shall have power with their consent and on their  behalf  and
  by its own proper officers to enter into any contract and to acquire, by
  purchase  or  condemnation,  and  to  hold,  maintain  and  operate  any
  property, necessary or desirable for any of the purposes  authorized  as
  aforesaid,  as  fully  and to the same extent as any municipality acting
  severally.
