§ 602. Payment of abandoned property. 1. In such succeeding month of April, and on or before the tenth day thereof, every county treasurer and the commissioner of finance of the city of New York shall pay or deliver to the state comptroller all abandoned property specified in paragraph (a) of subdivision one of section six hundred, which was so abandoned as of the first day of January next preceding. 2. Within thirty days after a decree as provided by section two hundred seventy-two of the surrogate's court act, the executor, administrator, guardian or testamentary trustee shall pay or deliver to the state comptroller all abandoned property specified in section six hundred, paragraph (b). 3. In such succeeding month of April, and on or before the tenth day thereof, every county treasurer and the commissioner of finance of the city of New York shall in each year pay to the state comptroller all abandoned property specified in paragraph (c) of section six hundred, which was so abandoned as of the first day of January next preceding. 4. A payment or delivery of abandoned property required to be made pursuant to subdivision one or subdivision three of this section may be made without an order.
