66-3-2.10. Proportional registration not exclusive.
Nothing contained in the Motor Transportation Act [Chapter 65, Articles 1, 3 and 5 NMSA 1978] relating to the proportional registration of fleet vehicles shall be construed as requiring any vehicle to be proportionally registered if it is otherwise registered in this state for the operation in which it is engaged, including but not by way of limitation, regular registration, temporary registration or trip permit or registration.
