3-27-1. Potable; authority to acquire and operate water facilities.

A municipality, within and without the municipal boundary, may:   

A.     acquire water facilities which may include but are not limited to:   

(1)     wells, cisterns and reservoirs;   

(2)     distribution pipes and ditches;   

(3)     pumps;   

(4)     right-of-way;   

(5)     water treatment plant; and   

(6)     their necessary appurtenances; and   

B.     use and supply water for:   

(1)     sewer purposes;   

(2)     private use; and   

(3)     public use.
