11-3A-11. Eminent domain.

In addition to the other purposes for which an authority may appropriate property, an authority shall have the right to acquire by the exercise of the power of eminent domain any real property that authority deems necessary for fulfilling the purposes of the Regional Housing Law [Chapter 11, Article 3A NMSA 1978] after adopting a resolution declaring that the acquisition of the real property is necessary.  An authority may exercise the power of eminent domain in the manner provided by Chapter 42A, Articles 1 and 3 NMSA 1978 or any other applicable provision of law.  Title to property so acquired shall be taken in the name of the authority.
