2A:16-46 - Acknowledgment of satisfaction or warrant to satisfy required
2A:16-46. Acknowledgment of satisfaction or warrant to satisfy requiredWhen a party in whose favor a judgment is entered or docketed, any assignee of record, anyone entitled to receive satisfaction, or the legal representative of a deceased party or a guardian, shall have received satisfaction thereof, he or his attorney shall either enter an acknowledgment of satisfaction on the record of the judgment, or shall deliver to the party making satisfaction or his representative, guardian or attorney or to the clerk of the court in which the judgment is entered or docketed, a warrant directing and authorizing the clerk to satisfy the same of record. Any such warrant shall set forth the book and page wherein the judgment is recorded or docketed.
