2006 New Hampshire Statutes - Section 478:5 Record Books.

Immediately upon receipt of any deed or instrument for record, the register of deeds shall enter in an acceptable recording method the time when each is received, the names of the grantors and grantees and of the town in which the land conveyed or affected is situate, and, after recording it, the name of the person to whom it is delivered. In addition to or in lieu of other recording methods, the register of deeds may cause the originals of documents filed to be photographed and preserved on microfilm, optical disk, or other media as determined by the register.
