There is a newer version of the New Hampshire Revised Statutes
2006 New Hampshire Statutes - Section 611:14 Delivery of Body.
The medical examiner, upon the completion of the examination, shall deliver the dead body, upon their claim therefor, to one of the following persons:    I. The husband or wife, as the case may be.
    II. The next of kin.
    III. Any friend of the deceased.
