Medical Radiographer Advisory Committee; created; members; duties; expenses.

(1) The Medical Radiographer Advisory Committee is created. The advisory committee shall consist of the head of the division of the department responsible for credentialing, who shall chair the meetings of the advisory committee, and four medical radiographers licensed by the department and appointed by the State Board of Health. Of the first four medical radiographers appointed, two shall be appointed for terms of two years and two shall be appointed for terms of four years. Thereafter each appointment shall be for a term of four years. The advisory committee shall meet at the call of the chairperson but not less than two times per calendar year. The members shall serve without compensation for such service other than reimbursement for the actual and necessary expenses of attending the meetings of the advisory committee as provided in sections 81-1174 to 81-1177.

(2) The advisory committee shall advise the department on all matters pertaining to the licensure and regulation of medical radiographers, including, but not limited to, the practice of medical radiography, the assurance of continuing competency, and the disciplining of medical radiographers found to have violated rules and regulations relating to the practice of medical radiography adopted and promulgated pursuant to the Radiation Control Act.
