750.566 Binder twine; marking.

Sec. 566.

Marking of binder twine—Any person who shall sell, expose or offer for sale within this state, binder twine, except the same bear upon each ball a stamp, tag or label truly stating the name of the manufacturer, importer or jobber of such twine, the kind or kinds of material it contains, and the number of feet to the pound in such ball, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor: Provided, That a deficiency not exceeding 5 per cent in the length or tensile strength stated on the stamp, tag or label shall not be a violation hereof.

The selling or exposing for sale of any ball of twine which does not conform to the requirements of this section shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
