§ 6-102 - Applicability [Effective until October 1, 2013].

§6-102.

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, this title applies to any petition authorized by law to place the name of an individual or a question on the ballot or to create a new political party.

(b) This title does not apply to a petition filed pursuant to Article 23A of the Code.

(c) This title may not be interpreted to conflict with any provision relating to petitions specified in the Maryland Constitution.

§ 6-102 - Applicability [Effective October 1, 2013].

(a) In general. -- Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, this title applies to any petition authorized by law to place the name of an individual or a question on the ballot or to create a new political party.

(b) Not applicable to municipal petitions. -- This title does not apply to a petition filed pursuant to Division II of the Local Government Article.

(c) Title construed consistent with Maryland Constitution. -- This title may not be interpreted to conflict with any provision relating to petitions specified in the Maryland Constitution.
