Article - Health Occupations

§ 2-309.

      (a)      If an audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist fails for any reason to renew the license of the audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist by the end of the 30-day grace period, the Board shall reinstate the license if the audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist:

            (1)      Applies to the Board for reinstatement of the license within 5 years after the license expires;

            (2)      Meets the renewal requirements of § 2-308 of this subtitle; and

            (3)      Pays to the Board the reinstatement fee set by the Board.

      (b)      The Board may not reinstate the license of an audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist who fails to apply for reinstatement of the license within 5 years after the license expires. However, the audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist may become licensed by meeting the current requirements for obtaining a new license under this title including continuing education requirements established by the rules and regulations of the Board.
