§ 2-309.
  (a)   If an audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist fails for any reason to renew the license of the audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist by the end of the 30-day grace period, the Board shall reinstate the license if the audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist:
    (1)   Applies to the Board for reinstatement of the license within 5 years after the license expires;
    (2)   Meets the renewal requirements of § 2-308 of this subtitle; and
    (3)   Pays to the Board the reinstatement fee set by the Board.
  (b)   The Board may not reinstate the license of an audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist who fails to apply for reinstatement of the license within 5 years after the license expires. However, the audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, or speech-language pathologist may become licensed by meeting the current requirements for obtaining a new license under this title including continuing education requirements established by the rules and regulations of the Board.
