Maryland Health Occupations Section 14-405.1

      (a)      If after a hearing under § 14-405 of this subtitle the Board finds that there are grounds under § 14-404 of this subtitle to suspend or revoke a license to practice medicine or osteopathy, or to reprimand a licensed physician or osteopath, the Board may impose a fine subject to the Board's regulations:

            (1)      Instead of suspending the license; or

            (2)      In addition to suspending or revoking the license or reprimanding the licensee.

      (b)      The Board shall pay any fines collected under this section into the General Fund.
