Maryland Department of Human Resources Section 135

      (a)      From among its members, the board annually shall elect a chairperson.

      (b)      The manner of the election of a chairperson shall be as the board determines.

      (c)      A majority of the members then serving on the board is a quorum to do business.

      (d)      The board shall determine the times and places of its meetings.

      (e)      The members of the board are not compensated except for reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.

      (f)      The board may employ a staff and make other expenditures in accordance with the State budget.
