Maryland County Commissioners Section 66
§ 66.
  Members of the board of managers elected or appointed under § 64 or § 65 of this subtitle shall hold office for a term of three years and until their successors are elected or appointed, provided that any person elected to fill a vacancy caused by death or resignation shall hold the office for the unexpired balance of the three-year term and until his successor is elected or appointed.
  In case of a vacancy on the board of managers caused by death, resignation, or for any reason the board of county commissioners shall have authority to appoint a manager to serve until the next annual meeting.
