Article - County Commissioners

§ 10A.

      The County Council of Prince George's County is authorized to create an official advisory committee on natural resources and community appearance as may be necessary to guide and accomplish the work of the County Council sitting as district council. The functions of the advisory committee among other things may consist of making technical recommendations for the preservation, exploitation, and site rehabilitation of mineral deposits or means and methods of encouraging development above minimum standards. Such official committee shall be established by resolution of the County Council which sets forth the membership, duties, and functions.

      It is the intent of the General Assembly that all State agencies, departments or commissions shall cooperate to the fullest possible extent with the County Council in guiding the orderly growth of the county through such committee. Officials designated by a State agency, department, or commission may serve on such advisory committee at the request of the County Council.
