Maryland Political Subdivisions - Miscellaneous Provisions Section 13-101

      In this title, "local entity" means:

            (1)      A county;

            (2)      A municipal corporation;

            (3)      A bicounty or multicounty agency;

            (4)      A county board of education;

            (5)      A public authority;

            (6)      A special taxing district; and

            (7)      Any other public entity whose employees are not covered by § 2-304 of the State Personnel and Pensions Article.
