Maryland Political Subdivisions - Miscellaneous Provisions Section 10-101

      (a)      In this section, "political subdivision":

            (1)      Means any political subdivision of the State; and

            (2)      Includes:

                  (i)      A county;

                  (ii)      A municipal corporation;

                  (iii)      A bicounty agency;

                  (iv)      A county board of education;

                  (v)      A public corporation; and

                  (vi)      A special taxing district.

      (b)      Each political subdivision shall afford its employees who return from military service the same reemployment rights provided for State employees under Title 2, Subtitle 7 of the State Personnel and Pensions Article.
