2005 Maine Code - §4951 — State-owned land for construction of housing


      1. Study of the inventory of state-owned land. The Maine State Housing Authority, following completion of the inventory of state-owned land pursuant to Title 5, section 1742, subsection 23, shall determine sites that will be suitable for the construction of affordable housing to meet the needs of the State, particularly housing for low-income and middle-income households.[1989, c. 6 (amd); c. 9, §2 (amd); c. 48, §§10, 31 (amd); c. 104, Pt.       2. Develop plan. The authority shall develop a plan by which the purposes in subsection 1 can be met.[1987, c. 737, Pt. A, §2 (new); Pt. C, §106 (new); 1989, c. 6 (amd); c. 9, §2 (amd); c. 104, Pt. C, §§8, 10 (amd).]
      3. Report to Legislature. The authority shall report the results of its study and the plan, including any necessary implementing legislation, to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over economic development by January 6, 1989.[1987, c. 737, Pt.
