§1450.7.  Authority for staff; compensation

Subject to the approval of the president of the Senate and the speaker of the House of Representatives, the committee may use available legislative staff and may employ such persons, including experts, as they find necessary to carry out the provisions of this Part and to fix the compensation of technical, professional, and clerical employees as needed to complete the work.  To defray the expenses of the committee and its activities incurred in the revision of the insurance code, the committee may receive donations from private sources.  The members of the committee shall receive the per diem authorized for the members of the legislature.
