§1113.  Membership in other public system prohibited; exceptions

Except as hereafter provided in this Section, no employee who is a member of this system shall be an active member of any other retirement system supported in whole or in part by public funds, provided that all employees who were members of any other publicly funded retirement system at the time this system was established shall remain in such other funded system unless and until their employment in the state service changes to a job or position not eligible in the other retirement system, in which case if they are at the time eligible for membership in this system they shall become members of this system but without prior service credit.
