§2000.8.  Atchafalaya Basin Advisory Committee; members; duties

A.  The Atchafalaya Basin Advisory Committee is hereby established as an advisory committee within the Atchafalaya Basin Program.

B.  Members of the committee shall be appointed by the secretary and director and shall represent all interests involved in the Atchafalaya Basin, and shall include but not be limited to individuals and representatives of associations representing landowners, timber producers, forest products manufacturers, fish and wildlife conservation groups, oil and gas exploration and development industry, environmental groups, hunting and fishing clubs, commercial fishermen, outdoor recreation and tourism development groups, local governments, local merchants and businesses, universities, native Americans, state and federal natural resource management agencies, state legislators, Atchafalaya Basin Levee Board, and the Mississippi River Commission.

C.  The committee shall meet at least once quarterly to advise on the implementation of the state master plan and the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway System, Louisiana Project.
