§85.1.  Naming of athletic field house by certain school boards

Notwithstanding R.S. 14:316 or any other law to the contrary, a parish school board in a parish having a population between four hundred fifty thousand and four hundred eighty thousand persons according to the most recent federal decennial census may name an athletic field house at a high school in the parish in honor of a former parish president and football director who meets the following criteria:

(1)  He began his employment with the parish school system before 1960 and was employed in at least four different schools within the school system.

(2)  He was head football director at the school where the athletic field house is located.

(3)  He served as a member of the parish governing authority and as parish president or equivalent officer for the parish in which the high school is located.
