§85.12.  Naming of stadium by certain school boards

Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a parish school board in a parish having a population between twenty-two thousand and thirty-two thousand persons according to the most recent federal decennial census may name a stadium in the parish in honor of a former football coach and a team doctor who meet all of the following criteria:

(1)  The former football coach served as head football coach at the school where the stadium is located when the football team won the state championship.

(2)  The former football coach served as head football coach at the school where the stadium is located in a period of time when the team won seven district titles in fourteen years.

(3)  The former football coach was inducted into the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame prior to 2004.

(4)  The team doctor began volunteering as the football team doctor at the school where the stadium is located prior to 1970.

(5)  The team doctor has offered physical examinations to certain student athletes in the parish where the stadium is located at a reduced fee.

(6)  The team doctor began serving as a physician in the city where the stadium is located prior to 1980.
