367.984 Limitation of actions. A civil action under KRS 367.976 to 367.985 may be brought in any court of competent <br>jurisdiction within one (1) year of the date of the occurrence of any violation or within six <br>(6) months of the time the rental-purchase agreement, together with any renewals or <br>extensions thereof, ceases to be in effect, whichever is greater. Notwithstanding the <br>above, a civil action under KRS 367.976 to 367.985 may be maintained by way of <br>recoupment or counterclaim in an action brought against the consumer by the lessor or its <br>assignee.
