333.220 Medical laboratory advisory committee -- Membership, appointment.
The secretary for health and family services shall appoint an advisory committee to advise <br>the cabinet in the fulfillment of its responsibilities under this chapter. The committee <br>shall be composed of nine (9) appointed members. The secretary for health and family <br>services or his designated representative shall be an ex officio member. All appointed <br>members shall serve for a term of four (4) years or until their successors are appointed <br>and qualified. One (1) member shall be appointed from a list of three (3) names submitted <br>by the Kentucky Hospital Association. One (1) member shall be appointed from a list of <br>three (3) names submitted by the Kentucky State Society of American Medical <br>Technologists. Two (2) members shall be appointed from a list of three (3) names for <br>each position submitted by the Kentucky State Society of Medical Technologists. Five (5) <br>members shall be appointed from a list of three (3) names for each position submitted by <br>the Kentucky Medical Association, provided, however, that at least three (3) of such <br>positions shall be filled only by pathologists who are directors of medical laboratories, <br>and who have been recommended to the Kentucky Medical Association by the Kentucky <br>Society of Pathologists.
