The General Assembly intends, by the provisions of this chapter, to occupy the entire <br>field of regulation and licensing of private investigators. No cities, counties, urban-county <br>governments, charter counties, consolidated local governments, or other political <br>subdivisions of the Commonwealth may adopt or continue in effect any ordinance, <br>resolution, regulation, or rule regarding the regulation of private investigators. Nothing in <br>this section shall be construed to abrogate any authority afforded by this chapter to the <br>Kentucky Board of Licensure of Private Investigators.
