311.950 Status of laetrile -- May be prescribed, when. Amygdalin (laetrile) is not a drug or a controlled substance under Kentucky statutes <br>governing the use, manufacture, or distribution of drugs and controlled substances within <br>the state. A physician may prescribe amygdalin (laetrile) pursuant to KRS 311.956 if the <br>patient so requests on a written informed request form and the physician has determined <br>the patient to be terminally ill. Effective: July 15, 1980 <br>History: Created 1980 Ky. Acts ch. 354, sec. 1, effective July 15, 1980.
