An acupuncturist shall obtain informed consent from each patient in a manner consistent <br>with the acceptable and prevailing standards of practice within this Commonwealth and, <br>at a minimum, the acupuncturist shall disclose to the patient the following written <br>information prior to or during the patient's initial visit: <br>(1) The acupuncturist's qualifications, including his or her education, certification information, and the definition and scope of the practice of acupuncture in the <br>Commonwealth; and (2) Possible outcomes of the treatment to be given, including any pain, bruising, infection, needle sickness, or other side effects that may occur.
