211.854 Monitoring radiation in discharges into rivers -- Report of violations to United States attorney. (1) The Cabinet for Health and Family Services may monitor the radiation in discharges into rivers along the Kentucky border from all nuclear power plants located on <br>either side of such rivers for the protection of the health, safety, and welfare of the <br>citizens of the Commonwealth. Monitoring may be conducted on a continuous <br>basis. (2) If there is evidence that the effluent standards applicable to any nuclear power facility are not being properly and expeditiously enforced, the Attorney General <br>shall report such violations to the United States attorney for appropriate action or <br>bring an action of mandamus against the appropriate enforcement agency.
