161.810 Continuance of status in case of annexation or consolidation of schools. If an entire school district or that part of a school district which comprises the territory in <br>which a school or schools are situated is transferred to any other district, or if the schools <br>in an independent or county school district are consolidated or centralized, the teachers in <br>such consolidated or centralized schools employed on continuing contracts immediately <br>prior to such transfer, consolidation, or centralization shall, subject to the limitations <br>imposed by KRS 161.800, have continuing service status in the newly centralized or <br>consolidated school, or in the district to which the territory is transferred.
