119.277 Prohibitions against holding elective office. Any person who shall have been convicted of any election law offense which is a Class A <br>misdemeanor shall not be permitted to hold elective office for a period of five (5) years <br>following the conviction. Any person who shall have been convicted of any election law <br>offense which is a felony shall not be permitted to hold elective office until his civil rights <br>have been restored by executive pardon. Effective: July 15, 1988 <br>History: Created 1988 Ky. Acts ch. 341, sec. 17, effective July 15, 1988.
