362.2-114 Office and agent for service of process. (1) A limited partnership shall designate and continuously maintain in this Commonwealth: (a)  A designated office, which need not be a place of its activity in this Commonwealth; and (b)  A registered office and agent for service of process at that office. (2) A foreign limited partnership shall designate and continuously maintain in this Commonwealth a registered office and agent for service of process at that office. (3) A registered agent shall be: (a)  An individual who is a resident of this Commonwealth and whose business office is identical with the registered office; (b)  A domestic corporation, domestic limited liability company, or domestic nonprofit corporation whose business office is identical with the registered office; or (c)  A foreign corporation, foreign limited liability company, or foreign nonprofit corporation authorized to transact business in this Commonwealth whose business office is identical with the registered office. (4) Unless the registered agent signs the record making the appointment, the appointment of a registered agent or a successor registered agent on whom process may be served shall not be effective until the agent delivers a statement in writing to the Secretary of State accepting the appointment.
