362.1-115 Reserved partnership name. (1) A person may apply to the Secretary of State to reserve the exclusive use of a partnership name, including the fictitious name, for a limited liability partnership or for a foreign limited liability partnership whose partnership name is not available for use in this Commonwealth. If the Secretary of State finds that the name applied for is available, then the Secretary of State shall reserve the name for the applicant's exclusive use for one (1) nonrenewable period of one hundred twenty (120) days. (2) The holder of a reserved partnership name may transfer the reservation to another person by delivering to the Secretary of State a notice of the transfer, executed by the holder for whom the name was reserved, and specifying the name and address of the transferee. (3) The holder of a reserved partnership name may cancel the reservation by delivery to the Secretary of State of a notice of cancellation, executed by the applicant for whom the name was reserved, that states the reserved name and its date of reservation.
