2006 Kentucky Revised Statutes - .403   Name of limited partnership.  (Effective until January 1, 2008)

362.403 Name of limited partnership. (Effective until January 1, 2008) The name of each limited partnership as set forth in its certificate of limited partnership: (1)  Shall contain the word "Limited" or its abbreviation, "Ltd."; (2)  Shall not contain the name of a limited partner unless: (a)  That name is also the name of a general partner or the corporate name of a corporate general partner; or (b)  The business of the limited partnership had been carried on under that name before the admission of that limited partner; and (3)  Shall not be the same as, and shall be distinguishable upon the records of the Secretary of State from, the name of any corporation or limited partnership organized under the laws of this state, or licensed or registered as a foreign corporation or foreign limited partnership in this state, or any assumed name which is registered with the Secretary of State or a name which at that time is reserved by another person under the laws of this state.
