311A.120 Educational course and continuing education for medical technicians and first responders. As a condition of being issued a certificate or license as an emergency medical technician or first responder, the applicant shall have completed a Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services approved educational course on the transmission, control, treatment, and prevention of the human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome with an emphasis on appropriate behavior and attitude change. The board shall require continuing education that updates this training at least one (1) time every ten (10) years that is consistent with and as required for other health care providers under KRS 214.610.
