304.14-420 Minimum standards regulations. (1) No insurance policy for homeowners, dwelling fire, automobile, accident and health, life or other forms of personal insurance shall be delivered, issued for delivery, amended or renewed in this state after the effective date set out in subsection (2) of this section unless the policy is in compliance with the provisions of this section and KRS 304.14-430 to 304.14-450. (2) The executive director shall, within one (1) year from July 15, 1988, promulgate administrative regulations in accordance with the provisions of KRS Chapter 13A to carry out the provisions of this section and KRS 304.14-430 to 304.14-450 and to establish minimum standards for the readability and intelligibility of insurance contracts. Within one (1) year of the effective date of the administrative regulations all insurers licensed to transact business shall comply with the standards set out by this section and KRS 304.14-430 to 304.14-450 and promulgated by the executive director. Acts chs. 11, 85, 95, 97, 98, 99, 123, and 181 instruct the Reviser of Statutes to correct statutory references to agencies and officers whose names have been changed in 2005 legislation confirming the reorganization of the executive branch. Such a correction has been made in this section.
