262.320 Board may employ erosion-control measures -- Cooperation with other agencies. (1) The board may carry out preventive and control measures within the district, including, but not limited to, engineering operations, methods of cultivation, the growing of vegetation, changes in use of land and other measures of soil conservation listed in KRS 262.020, on lands owned or controlled by this state or any of its agencies, with the consent and cooperation of the agency administering and having jurisdiction of the lands and on any other lands within the district, upon obtaining the consent of the owners and occupiers of the lands or the necessary rights or interests in those lands. (2) In carrying on erosion-control and prevention operations, the board may cooperate or enter into agreements with any agency, governmental or otherwise, or any owner or occupier of lands within the district, subject to such conditions as the board deems necessary to advance the purposes of this chapter.
