224.46-840 Site requirements -- Qualified hazardous waste. (1) All treatment and disposal technologies comprising a regional integrated waste treatment and disposal demonstration facility shall be located on contiguous property. (2) A hazardous waste shall be landfilled at a regional integrated waste treatment and disposal demonstration facility only if: (a)  The hazardous waste cannot be recycled or incinerated by commercially feasible technologies; and (b)  The hazardous waste cannot be rendered nonhazardous by commercially feasible treatment technologies and the hazardous waste has been treated to the extent practicable to render it less hazardous by commercially feasible treatment technologies which shall be applied prior to landfilling; and (c)  The hazardous waste meets the additional criteria set forth in KRS 224.46- 520(2).
