224.10-110 Enforcement of rules and regulations adopted by secretary -- Policies, plans, programs. The Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet shall enforce the rules and regulations adopted by the secretary of the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet for the regulation and control of the matters set out below and shall formulate, promote, establish and execute policies, plans and programs relating to natural resources and environmental protection, including but not limited to the following matters: (1)  The proper disposal of waste; (2)  The purification of water for public and semipublic use; (3)  The proper construction and operation of public water distribution systems and water treatment systems in public water purification plants and swimming pools; (4)  The review, approval or disapproval of plans for construction, modification or extension of water purification and distribution systems and water treatment systems in swimming pools; and (5)  The certification of water and sewage plant operators. This section was amended by two 1978 acts which do not appear to be in conflict and have been compiled together. Legislative Research Commission Note (6/20/2005). 2005 Ky. Acts chs. 11, 85, 95, 97, 98, 99, 123, and 181 instruct the Reviser of Statutes to correct statutory references to agencies and officers whose names have been changed in 2005 legislation confirming the reorganization of the executive branch. Such a correction has been made in this section.
