16.090 Training school. The commissioner is authorized to organize and maintain a training school or schools for officers of the department, and in connection therewith to provide by regulation the course and conduct of such training and the period of time for which any officer, or any applicant therefor, shall attend such school. The commissioner, under such regulations as he may adopt, is further authorized, but shall not be required, to make such training facilities available to any local governing unit within this Commonwealth.
